The Intake and Assessments Bureau (IAB) at the **Members Only** is currently seeking qualified candidates to join our team and make a difference in our community. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to supervise and manage attorneys and support staff, as well as play a key role in shaping the future of criminal justice reform.

The level of the position will depend upon the experience of the person selected. We are looking for individuals with a strong background in criminal law and a passion for promoting justice and fairness within the legal system. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage IAB attorneys and support staff
- Provide training on standards and burdens of proof, complaint drafting, and best practices for job performance
- Support the professional development of TPA/Paralegals through training programs and ongoing supervision
- Oversee short and long term projects
- Interface and troubleshoot with other agencies and groups
- Generate policy and statistical reports on bail applications
- Maintain schedules and timekeeping records
- Perform other relevant duties as determined by management
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications:
- . degree and active membership in the New York State bar
- Extensive experience in case analysis and enhancement
- Training and/or interaction with other law enforcement agencies
- Felony jury trial experience
- Strong knowledge of New York Penal and Criminal Procedure Law
- Thorough working knowledge of the Intake and Arraignment process
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Superior organizational skills

In addition to these qualifications, applicants must also be willing to work flexible hours and demonstrate a commitment to criminal justice reform. Both day and evening positions are available.

Salary and Benefits:
Salary for this position will be commensurate with experience and falls within the range of $99,000 to $175,000. As an employee of the City of New York, you may also be eligible for federal loan forgiveness programs and state repayment assistance programs.
