Metz Lewis, a full-service Pittsburgh-based law firm, is seeking a talented and motivated M&A Associate Attorney to join its Corporate practice group. The ideal candidate will have 3-8 years of relevant experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate transactions, and related legal matters in a law firm setting. As an M&A Associate, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on complex transactions across various industries and provide strategic legal counsel to businesses, private equity firms, and financial institutions.
The M&A Associate Attorney will be responsible for assisting in structuring, negotiating, and executing M&A transactions, including asset purchases, stock purchases, and mergers. They will also . Additionally, the role involves conducting legal due diligence and assessing risks in corporate transactions, advising clients on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and contractual obligations, and coordinating with internal teams, clients, investment bankers, and opposing counsel to facilitate deal execution.
The ideal candidate will have a . from an accredited law school and be admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar (or eligible for admission). They should have 3-8 years of experience in M&A, corporate law, or securities transactions at a law firm and possess strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills. The ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously and work under tight deadlines is essential, as well as exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and oral communication skills are also necessary for success in this role.
