A national law firm is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Associate Attorney for its Alexandria, Virginia office. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to work with a sophisticated client base and handle a variety of complex employment litigation matters. Location

Duties

  • Represent clients in employment litigation matters, including FEHA claims, wage and hour disputes, and class action cases

  • Handle all stages of litigation, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation

  • Engage in legal research, draft memoranda, and analyze case law

  • Participate in commercial and privacy litigation as needed

  • Interact directly with clients and contribute to case strategy development

  • Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups in a team-based environment

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience (labor and employment preferred, but civil litigation also considered)

  • Licensed and in good standing to practice law in both the District of Columbia and Maryland

  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to assume increasing responsibility

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases effectively

Education

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school

  • Strong academic credentials required

Certifications

  • Active law licenses in the District of Columbia and Maryland (required)

  • Admission to the Virginia Bar is a plus

Skills

  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical abilities
