Intake Attorney The candidate provides timely and thorough analysis of potential conflicts of interest related to new firm business and lateral attorney candidates. Drafts conflict waivers, engagement letters, and similar documentation in conformance with firm policies and rules of professional conduct. Collaborates with Conflicts Researchers, Conflicts Analysts, Intake Manager, ICS Director, Intake Partner, and General Counsel to research, analyze, and resolve conflicts of interest. Reviews and comments on outside counsel guidelines/policies, requests for proposal, client-generated engagement letters. Assists with the preparation, implementation, and oversight of ethical walls. Maintains accurate records of conflict clearance process in firm databases. Monitors developments in the rules of professional conduct and caselaw related to conflicts of interest (ongoing training requirement). Legal researches regarding conflicts rules in relevant jurisdictions. Additional duties and special projects as assigned by the ICS Director, Intake Partner, or General Counsel. Juris Doctor degree is required. Should have 2+ years of legal experience; conflict analysis and resolution in a law firm setting is preferred. Member in good standing of a State Bar is required.
