Pre-litigation Personal Injury Attorney The candidate will be handling cases from the beginning to pre-litigation settlement. Thorough re-evaluation of cases to determine the viability of each case. Responsible for meeting with all walk-ins. Responsible for the re-evaluation of potential client information collected by the Intake Specialist and ensuring that each case has a high potential of benefiting the firm and the client. Performing face-to-face (usually by phone) consults with clients, minimum of three hours a day. Explaining the personal injury pre-litigation processes to clients, giving emphasis on the importance of the client adhering to his/her medical treatments. Completing the 14-day reviews, 60-day reviews and the 120-day reviews on all assigned cases to insure the continuing viability and value of the case. Preparing for and conducting demand consults with the clients as scheduled. Drafting petitions and proposed orders for Minor-Client Settlement Hearings which are either conducted via zoom or in-person at off-site at the appropriate courthouse. Ensuring the case does not exceed the applicable statute of limitations. Should be licensed to practice in TN. Should be licensed in AR and/or MS are pluses. Should have 1+ years of experience in personal injury litigation, defense or plaintiffs. Strong negotiation skills are needed. Should have the ability to manage a demanding caseload. Should have the ability to Identify complex problems and review related information. Should have the ability to listen to clients, taking time to understand the points made and asking the appropriate questions. Should have the ability to display sincere empathy for clients.
