Job Title: Immigration Specialist 4 (Contract)

Job Responsibilities:

The Immigration Specialist 4 (Contract) serves as a key operational partner to Company's in-house immigration team and provides high-level paralegal support for employment-based immigration matters across the . and broader Americas region. This role involves expert-level . immigration case support, coordination with internal counsel and external vendors, and preparation, review, and tracking of filings across various visa categories including H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, E-3, and green card categories. The specialist will support cross-border immigration matters in the Americas region, assist with documentation and compliance needs for international assignments, and facilitate local work authorization processes.

Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating closely with recruiters, hiring managers, HR business partners, and global mobility teams to facilitate end-to-end immigration case workflows.
- Serving as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and case escalations.
- Maintaining strong knowledge of . immigration laws and procedures, monitoring updates, and contributing to internal guidance and compliance tools.
- Supporting business travel screening processes and compliance tracking across the Americas.
- Coordinating with outside counsel and immigration vendors on case strategy, timelines, documentation requests, and status updates.
- Assisting with internal audits, government inquiries, and the maintenance of immigration compliance documentation, including public access files and I-9 records.
- Participating in process improvement initiatives, data integrity projects, and policy documentation updates.
- Collaborating with regional HR and legal stakeholders to support consistent compliance practices in the Americas.

Education and Experience Information:

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of paralegal experience in . business immigration, with the ability to handle complex cases independently. A Bachelor’s degree is required, and experience working in-house at a large corporation or within a leading immigration law firm is essential. The candidate should possess a strong understanding of immigration compliance principles and corporate operational needs, along with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certification, prior experience supporting immigration needs in regulated industries such as aerospace, defense, or technology, and multilingual capability (Spanish or Portuguese preferred) to support regional coordination in the Americas. Experience supporting audit responses and vendor governance processes is also preferred.

Salary Information:

The pay rate range for this position is between and per hour, with the currency being USD. Optional benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401K.

Legal Terminology and Important Considerations:

Candidates selected for this role will be employed as contract workers through a Company-approved third party for the duration of the specified project. Regular and predictable attendance is required, and the role is non-managerial and non-leadership. The position requires deep familiarity with employment-based . immigration processes and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining precision and timeliness.

The role involves acting as Company's primary subject matter expert on . immigration law and processes, providing expert-level consultation to business planning teams and process partners, and designing and leading complex immigration strategies that align with program timelines, operational needs, and legal compliance requirements. The specialist will independently guide employees, managers, and stakeholders through immigration processes with a focus on proactive engagement, clear communication, and business enablement.

The position requires adaptability to changes in regulatory environments, analytical thinking, effective communication, relationship building, customer focus, initiative and autonomy, decision-making, problem-solving, and regulatory mastery. The candidate should be able to apply expert knowledge of . immigration laws, regulations, and agency procedures to drive compliant and business-focused immigration strategies.
