Senior Counsel, I-Commercial Contracts:

Overview:

- Proactively drive legal strategy to complement business objectives for a specific region or business unit
- Act as a senior subject matter expert on country-specific legal requirements and provide counsel on various legal matters including litigation and data privacy
Responsibilities:
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the overall business and become embedded with key business teams
- Serve as the primary legal representative for a specific region or business unit, offering proactive solutions and risk mitigation strategies
- Draft contracts of varying complexity and lead negotiations for high-value agreements
- Collaborate with legal department and cross-functional teams to drive results
- Keep up to date with legislative changes and proactively drive understanding across legal teams
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and applicable laws
- Monitor and supervise the work of less experienced colleagues and contract managers
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of legal experience with a law firm or in-house
- Education: . from an accredited law school (.) or professional legal qualification (outside .)
- Up to 10% domestic and international travel required
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent policy and contract drafting skills, with a focus on complex channel programs
- Strong negotiating skills and experience with a variety of commercial agreements
- Analytical with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively
- Familiarity with local laws and coordinating with outside counsel
- Comfortable working with senior leadership
