An esteemed law firm is currently seeking junior to midlevel associates with 1–5 years of experience to join its Intellectual Property Disputes practice. The ideal candidate will have prior experience at a large law firm and a technical background in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-profile and complex IP litigation matters across multiple major . offices.

Duties

  • Handle a range of intellectual property disputes, including patent litigation

  • Draft pleadings, discovery materials, motions, and other court filings

  • Conduct legal research and analyze complex technical and legal issues

  • Participate in depositions, hearings, and trial preparations

  • Collaborate with attorneys, experts, and clients to develop case strategies

  • Provide ongoing support through all phases of litigation

Requirements

  • 1–5 years of experience practicing law, preferably in a large law firm environment

  • Significant exposure to intellectual property disputes, especially in patent law

  • Admission to the state bar in the jurisdiction of the office applied for

  • Strong interpersonal, project management, and teamwork abilities

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-office environment

Education

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited . law school

Certifications

  • Active and in-good-standing bar membership for the relevant state office

Skills

  • Preferred technical background in:

    • Electrical Engineering

    • Computer Engineering

    • Computer Science

  • Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills

  • Strong communication and advocacy abilities

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments with attention to detail
