Job Overview:
A law firm seeks a dedicated attorney to join its team advocating for veterans in obtaining the benefits they have earned. Duties:

• Consult with clients to assess the validity and strength of their disability claims.
• Collect and review evidence, including medical records, personal statements, and supporting documentation.
• File appeals with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for denied or insufficient benefit claims.
• Represent clients during administrative hearings to advance their claims.
• Provide legal advice and answer client questions throughout the process.
• Maintain compliance with legal and ethical standards in veterans' disability law.

Requirements:

• Strong communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism.
• Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of working independently.
• Comfortable managing multiple tasks and prioritizing efficiently.
• Familiarity with technology, including document management software and various programs.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed attorney in good standing.

Skills:

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal abilities with a professional and friendly demeanor.
• Background or connection to military service (., veteran, spouse, or relative) is preferred but not required.
• Tech-savvy, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and software.
