A law firm seeks a highly motivated mid-level associate to join its Employment, Labor, Benefits, and Immigration practice group. This position focuses on defending complex employment litigation, particularly wage and hour class and collective actions. Duties

• Defend employers in complex employment litigation, including wage and hour class and collective actions.
• Conduct witness interviews and prepare for and participate in depositions.
• Guide employers on federal and state employment law compliance.
• Draft workplace policies and assist with the development of employment training programs.
• Support trial preparation and, where applicable, participate in trial proceedings.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of substantive experience in employment litigation, with a focus on class and collective actions.
• Proven experience in conducting witness interviews and handling depositions.
• Familiarity with counseling employers on compliance with employment laws and regulations.
• Excellent academic background and strong legal writing and analytical skills.
• Admission to the bar in the jurisdiction of the office location.

Education

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active DC Bar membership in good standing.
