Job Overview: A law firm in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking an experienced Liability Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have 3-7 years of general liability experience and demonstrate proficiency in managing cases related to personal injury, property damage, and other liability claims.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in litigation and other legal proceedings concerning general liability matters.
  • Conduct legal research and provide advice on liability issues.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
  • Manage and oversee investigations into liability claims.
  • Negotiate settlements and participate in mediations and arbitrations.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida State Bar (active and in good standing).
  • 3-7 years of experience practicing law, focusing on general liability.
  • Proven track record of handling complex liability cases from inception to resolution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Certifications (if applicable):

  • Board Certification in Civil Trial Law or related specialization is preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in legal research and analysis using LexisNexis or Westlaw.
