Legal Specialist Sr. - Enterprise Operations - Full Time

Location: Elevance Health (virtual and in-office hybrid model)

Salary Range: to hourly (based on location and qualifications)

Job Description:

- Responsible for leading support staff and providing legal support services for multiple Medicaid states, enterprise-wide functions, and/or complex litigation.
- Conducts legal research and analysis, prepares and evaluates legal documentation, and recommends appropriate courses of action.
- Monitors state and federal legislation affecting the company and implements recommendations for changes in regulations and laws.
- Participates in projects, negotiations, and strategizing with business and staff.
- Handles Provider Contracting for Medicaid markets.
- Serves as a seasoned resource and may lead and/or coach other support staff.

Primary Duties:

- Serve as a lead in the investigation and resolution of complex cases.
- Prepare and evaluate legal documentation to resolve problems, close transactions, and maintain good corporate governance.
- Conduct legal research and analysis and recommend appropriate courses of action.
- Monitor state and federal legislation affecting the company and develop/implement recommendations for changes in regulations and laws.
- Participate in projects and negotiations with business and staff.
- Enter information into appropriate databases or document management systems.
- Handle Provider Contracting for Medicaid markets.

Minimum Requirements:

- Paralegal Certification or an AA/AS/BA/BS in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of legal or related experience.
- Experience in Medicaid or other government programs.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Skilled in the use of Excel is preferred.

Salary Information:

- The salary range for this specific position is to (hourly), based on location and qualifications.
