Job Title: Junior Energy Transactional Associate
Location: Houston, New York, or Washington .
Experience: 2-3 years
Salary Range: $225,000 to $250,000

Steptoe LLP, a leading law firm, is seeking highly qualified attorneys with 2-3 years of experience in Energy & Infrastructure transactions for our offices in Houston, New York, or Washington . Our energy attorneys represent some of the biggest players in the US and international energy markets and handle matters at every stage of the project lifecycle. Responsibilities:
- Representing sponsors, developers, arrangers, agents, lenders, and investors in energy and infrastructure transactions
- Handling matters at every point of the project lifecycle
- Working with all major financing structures, including sustainability-linked and green loan principles-aligned structures
- Conducting legal research and drafting legal documents
- Assisting with due diligence and transaction closings

Requirements:
-
- Admission to the New York, District of Columbia, or Texas Bar
- 2-3 years of experience in financing and/or private M&A transactions
- Preferably with experience in project and energy financing and/or energy and infrastructure-related M&A transactions
- Knowledge of tax equity and/or IRA credit is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to take on immediate responsibility and work collaboratively in a high-performing team
