Job Title: Word Processing/Legal Assistant - Real Estate

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Advanced level proficiency in MS Word with the ability to create and revise complex documents
- Type and proofread legal documents, process revisions based on attorney input
- High attention to detail to accurately prepare and revise documents
- Knowledge of complex regulations governing real estate transactions
- Convert Word Documents to as requested
- Process new business intake for clients and matters
- Manage attorney calendars and scheduling requirements
- Monitor attorney's inbox and organize client matter related emails and documents
- Edit bills and prepare attorney expense vouchers
- Maintain good public relations with clients
- Observe and maintain confidentiality of client and firm information
- Make appointments and assist with travel arrangements for attorneys
- Review and route incoming and outgoing mail
- Maintain and organize digital and hard files
- Team oriented and able to support other departments as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 10+ years of experience as a legal assistant in a law firm environment
- Strong typing skills with a minimum of 80 WPM
- Working knowledge of legal procedures and terminology
- Excellent spelling, punctuation, and grammar skills
- Basic math skills for document verification
- Ability to prioritize and complete tasks under strict time constraints
- Onsite work required, with a typical schedule starting at 10 am or later
