Carlile Patchen & Murphy LLP (CPM) is looking for a highly skilled Legal Assistant to join our Family Wealth & Estate Planning Department. In this role, you will provide support to our attorneys and assist in day-to-day activities to ensure efficient and smooth operations. Your responsibilities will include preparing estate planning documents, managing client matters, proofreading and editing legal documents, and providing support in the preparation of exhibits.

Role Responsibilities:

- Assist in preparing estate planning documents
- Manage client matters, including scheduling meetings and managing document e-signing
- Proofread and edit legal documents
- Attend client meetings with managing attorney
- Assist with client and court communications
- Maintain client files and assist with practice group projects
- Provide support in the preparation of exhibits

Qualifications:

Required Skills:

- Self-motivated
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Familiarity with certified mail

Preferred Skills:

- Legal document drafting and research experience
- Ability to analyze financial information
- Tax preparation and software knowledge
- Certified Notary
