and Admission to the California State Bar. The Law Firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our Public Safety practice group. This position will be based in our Cerritos, CA office, with occasional travel to our Riverside and Sausalito offices as needed. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience handling labor and employment matters for public sector clients, specifically in the area of public safety. This is a great opportunity for an attorney looking to join a highly reputable law firm and work on complex and challenging cases in a collaborative and supportive environment. As an Associate Attorney in our Public Safety practice group, you will be responsible for handling a wide range of labor and employment matters for public sector clients, including city, county, and state agencies. This will include providing advice and counsel, negotiating collective bargaining agreements, representing clients in administrative proceedings, and conducting workplace investigations. You will also have the opportunity to participate in trials and arbitrations, as well as develop litigation strategies and plans. We are looking for someone with a strong background in public sector labor and employment law, specifically in the area of public safety. This includes experience with the Public Safety Procedural Bill of Rights Act (POBR) and the Firefighter Procedural Bill of Rights Act (FBOR). The ideal candidate will also have excellent writing skills, with experience in preparing investigation reports, notices of intent to discipline, and post-evidentiary hearing closing briefs. In addition to legal experience, we are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues. You will need to be able to handle and manage client relationships with limited supervision, while also demonstrating a high level of professionalism and competence in handling legal and strategic aspects of labor and employment law issues.
