Overview:

Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, a national law firm, is currently seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team in Los Angeles. Role and Responsibilities:

- Manage case files from start to finish, including preparing subpoenas, initial discovery, and draft responses to discovery
- Conduct legal research and investigations as requested by attorneys
- Prepare attorneys for depositions and attend trials as necessary
- E-file in both State and Federal Court systems
- Monitor deadlines and ensure timely responses
- Prepare legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, and trial binders
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and engage in witness management
- Utilize software such as LexisNexis, Pacer, Relativity, and TrialPad for document management and trial preparation

Qualifications and Experience:

- Must meet the qualifications specified under the California Business & Professions Code §6450 and have a minimum of five years of general civil litigation experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and e-filing experience in both State and Federal Court systems
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Experience with trial preparation and participation, including exhibit manipulation software
- Knowledge of complex litigation and experience in commercial real estate litigation preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to problem-solve and analyze information
- Maintains confidentiality and follows instructions
