Law Firm Seeking Business Intake & Conflicts Specialist (Laterals) with 3+ Years of Experience Position Summary: The Law Firm is seeking a Business Intake & Conflicts Specialist (Laterals) to join their Business Intake & Conflicts team. This role is essential in ensuring the Firm's compliance with ethical obligations, risk management policies, and timely onboarding of new business. Key Responsibilities: - Review incoming conflict check submissions for firm-wide attorneys, paralegals, and staff - Create folders and update spreadsheets for lateral candidates - Communicate with recruiting/HR, attorneys, and other department members regarding lateral intake - Monitor the BIC inbox and respond to inquiries regarding the status of requests - Process and quality control intake review queues - Assist with review and filing of waiver and engagement letters - Provide training to new hires on various systems and tasks - Understand and conduct research on conflicts of interest and corporate affiliations - Assist with ethical screen database clean-up - Other duties as assigned or required. Skills and Experience: - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, iManage, and other firm applications - 3+ years of direct applicable experience (. BIC department, legal secretary, paralegal, or executive assistant) - Strong computer skills - Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred - Experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred.
