Responsibilities:

Develop and manage a diverse pro bono program for lawyers and paralegals in assigned offices
Establish resources and structure for pro bono projects and teams
Cultivate partnerships with corporate clients and the courts for pro bono opportunities
Screen and evaluate requests for pro bono assistance
Assist with opening, staffing, and closing pro bono matters
Collaborate with nonprofit and community organizations to identify and assess needs for pro bono services
Lead firmwide goals for pro bono, specifically in assigned offices
Coordinate volunteer recognition programs
Assist with the development of the annual pro bono budget
Handle special projects and other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree
Juris Doctor (JD) degree
Minimum of 8 years of legal and/or professional services experience
Proven experience in pro bono program management
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Excellent communication skills, including virtual communication
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Willingness to be flexible and adapt to change
Strong relationship-building skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Self-motivated and able to work independently
