In May 2024, the firm is set to merge with Shearman & Sterling to become A&O Shearman, creating the world's third largest law firm. The Leveraged Finance department at A&O is a market leader in the US, with top-tier experience in all aspects of the leveraged finance market. The role of the Paralegal will involve providing technical and project support to the Leveraged Finance partners and associates under the guidance of the US paralegal manager. The position requires a four-year bachelor's degree, excellent organizational and communication skills, and a demonstrated interest in leveraged finance or banking. Key responsibilities of the role include conducting legal research, writing brief summaries, participating in due diligence investigations, assisting with closings, and drafting client-facing memos and presentations. The Paralegal will work closely with the Leveraged Finance partners and other paralegal team members. The annualized base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $65,000, and the actual salary offered will depend on the qualifications of the individual and other job-related factors.
