Law Firm Seeking Foreign Filing Patent Specialist - Salary Information Available

Position Overview:
- Coordinating and managing international patent filings, foreign patent prosecution and annuity management
- Managing foreign patent portfolios, including applications, formalities, foreign invoices, payments, and dockets
- Handling document legalization process for foreign filings
- Tracking and recording time for appropriate client billing
- Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities:
- Monitoring, maintaining and clearing international and foreign filing dockets
- Preparing documents related to international and foreign patent applications
- Drafting written communications for international associates and clients
- Preparing and filing international (PCT) patent applications
- Managing international patent portfolios, including formality requirements
- Filing PCT applications and handling related formalities with WIPO
- Coordinating the receipt and review of third party foreign associate invoices
- Overseeing and coordinating annuity fee monitoring and payments for foreign portfolios
- Managing legalization of required documents as required by foreign jurisdictions
- Tracking and recording time to the appropriate client and ensuring accurate billing
- Other duties as assigned

Essential Job Specifications/Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of foreign patent application process, PCT and foreign patent rules and procedures
- Proficiency working with computerized docketing systems and docketing departments
- Demonstrated knowledge of document legalization process for foreign filings
- Familiarity with patent invoicing and annuity payment services
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to problem solve and work independently
- Attention to detail
- Professionalism when dealing with clients at all levels
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficient in computer skills and use of docketing systems
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary
- Regular attendance required

Travel:
- No travel required

Education/Experience/Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Paralegal certificate or significant patent paralegal experience required
- Minimum of 7 years experience managing foreign patent portfolios
