Law firm Lathrop GPM is seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Patent Specialist to join their team in Minneapolis, MN; Kansas City, MO; or Chicago, IL. The position offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, and a professional hybrid working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining client portfolios and handling all . prosecution filings and correspondence
• Preparing and filing . Provisional filings and all required formality documents
• Filing all prosecution documents with the USPTO
• Communicating directly with clients regarding routine or procedural patent prosecution events
• Maintaining electronic data in accordance with firm policies
• Managing all client filing deadlines and sending docket reminders
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of the . patent process
• Proficient in Private PAIR, EFS-Web, and Patent Center
• Relevant experience in an IP practice or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Paralegal certificate desired
• Demonstrated skills in technology, problem-solving, prioritization, customer service, listening, and communication
