This hands-on position involves working collaboratively with clients and employees of the firm to assist attorneys in defending civil litigation matters. We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package for full-time hourly employees. Key Responsibilities: - Draft and prepare correspondence and other written documents as required, including responses, reports, filings, pleadings, answers, motions, interrogatories, contracts, opinions, position papers, and letters - Organize and analyze documentary evidence, including contracts, medical records, reports, depositions, discovery, and other documents, and provide summaries and chronologies as requested - Handle tracking and disposition of subpoenas or other requests for information - Maintain organized files and assist with management - Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts - Manage trial and discovery deadlines and assist with trial preparation Qualifications: - 1+ years of prior paralegal experience, preferably in a high-volume, fast-paced law firm environment - Working knowledge of paralegal concepts, procedures, and practices - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat - Knowledge of legal research tools, such as Westlaw, is a plus - Critical thinking skills, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision - High School Diploma or equivalent required, Paralegal degree/certificate is a plus Physical Demands: This position is primarily sedentary, but may require occasional standing, walking, and reaching. The employee may also engage in bending, stretching, and lifting up to 20 pounds. They will use office equipment and computers and must have good vision, hearing, and speaking abilities. Working Conditions: This job is located in an indoor office environment with varying noise levels and temperatures. The employee may be interrupted from time to time.
