The ideal candidate will have extensive contact with clients, governmental agencies, and opposing counsel, along with a Juris Doctor degree and completion of formal studies in labor law. The Labor Attorney will play a pivotal role in representing clients in labor and employment law matters. They will be responsible for providing legal counsel, negotiating agreements, and representing clients in various proceedings. Duties:

  • Engage in extensive contact with clients, governmental agencies, and opposing counsel
  • Provide legal counsel on labor and employment law matters
  • Handle labor arbitrations and unfair labor practice charges
  • Participate in collective bargaining negotiations
  • Assist with union campaigns and related activities
  • Conduct legal research and analysis
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements
  • Represent clients in administrative hearings and court proceedings

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to practice law and in good standing in the state of residence
  • Completion of formal studies in labor law preferred
  • 2+ years of employment/labor law experience
