Associate Attorney
The candidate will work representing clients in all areas of employment law, including cases involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour violations. Will have extensive client contact and the opportunity to work on cases in a variety of contexts including federal and state courts, arbitrations, mediations, and administrative agencies. The work involves researching, drafting and opposing substantive motions, including Motions for Summary Judgment, Demurrers, Discovery Motions such as Motions to Compel, protective orders and Motions to Quash Writs and Appeals. Should have 1-2 years of civil litigation or empowerment law experience. Experience in making court appearances and arguing motions in the trial court, and in taking and defending depositions and preparing clients for deposition testimony are preferred. Must have outstanding verbal and written communication and research skills. Must be able to handle cases from intake through trial and then the appeal. Spanish-speaking skills is helpful.
