Job Overview:
A law firm based in Astoria, New York, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Plaintiff Personal Injury Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a significant caseload, conducting daily court appearances, drafting legal documents, and assisting in trial preparation alongside experienced trial attorneys.

Location:

Duties:

  • Manage a high-volume caseload of personal injury cases, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, municipal, and construction accidents
  • Handle daily court appearances and case management from inception to trial
  • Draft pleadings, discovery responses, motions, and trial preparation documents
  • Conduct depositions and manage the discovery process
  • Prepare for and assist with trials, including pre-trial motions and post-trial motions
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
  • Ensure timely and accurate file management throughout the litigation process
  • Provide regular updates to clients on case status and developments

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Plaintiff's Personal Injury law
  • Experience in drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions for various personal injury cases (motor vehicle, premises liability, municipal, and construction accidents)
  • Significant trial experience is a plus
  • Ability to handle a large caseload and work independently
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Knowledge of court procedures and ability to manage cases from inception through trial

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active bar admission in New York State
