Dinsmore & Shohl LLP, a leading national law firm with over 750 attorneys in 29 cities, has an immediate opportunity available for a Labor and Employment Associate in the Los Angeles and San Diego, CA offices.

### Qualifications

Candidates must have two - six years of experience and possess the following qualifications:

* A license to practice in California
* Experience with litigation defense and advising employers on compliance with state and federal employment laws
* Experience with FMLA, ADA, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful discharge, and violation of wage law matters
* Experience taking depositions, arguing motions, and preparing cases for trial
* Strong academic background
* Excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills

### Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

* Litigation defense and advising employers on compliance with state and federal employment laws
* Working on FMLA, ADA, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful discharge, and violation of wage law matters
* Taking depositions, arguing motions, and preparing cases for trial
* Handling all aspects of complex employment cases for regional and national clients of all sizes
