Position Overview:

- Virtual paralegal with expertise in Estate Planning, including probate, guardianship, or conservatorship cases
- Minimum of three years of Estate Planning experience
- Previous experience in a law firm setting within the past six months
- Technologically proficient, with knowledge of software such as Word, Excel, Adobe, and legal research databases like LexisNexis
- Ideal candidate located in San Jose, CA

Responsibilities:

- Work independently and autonomously, with a close responsiveness commitment
- Prepare and draft trusts, wills, healthcare directives, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations related to estate planning
- Organize and maintain client files and provide administrative support to attorneys

Requirements:

- 3+ years of experience in an estate planning practice
- Proficient in using checklists, forms, and templates for document preparation
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in legal software and research tools
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Availability to respond to requests within an hour during business hours
- Own laptop and smartphone with internet access
- Quiet location for taking phone calls

Plus:

- Experience with estate planning software such as Wealth Counsel or ForeTrust Hot Docs
- Experience with practice management software like Practice Panther or Clio
