Shumaker is seeking an experienced ERISA/Benefits Attorney to join our team in any of our office locations. As a Benefits Associate Attorney, you will have the opportunity to work on complex and challenging ERISA cases for clients across the country. This is a great opportunity for someone with 5+ years of employee benefits experience to join a dynamic and growing law firm with a welcoming and lively work culture.

As a Benefits Associate Attorney at Shumaker, you will be responsible for managing complex case assignments, communicating with clients, and conducting research and writing. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, excellent research abilities, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines. A Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school and an active bar license are required for this position.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of employee benefits matters, including retirement plans, health and welfare plans, Taft-Hartley benefit plans, and executive compensation. You will also have access to cutting-edge technology and practice management systems to assist in your work.
