Position Summary:

- Ogletree Deakins' Indianapolis office is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support its national labor and employment practice.
- The Paralegal will work closely with attorneys and senior-level paralegals to provide sophisticated and substantive billable work for Fortune 500 clients.
- This role will involve collaborating with a dedicated group of clients and managing major projects or cases with the support of other paralegals.
- The position offers a hybrid work schedule and the opportunity for professional development through access to training programs.

Essential Functions:

- Conduct legal research and investigate facts to assist attorneys in state and federal court cases and administrative matters.
- Summarize complex legal documents and maintain organized and indexed case files.
- e-File pleadings with state and federal courts and prepare correspondence.
- Draft a wide variety of legal documents, including notices, subpoenas, declarations, and form pleadings.
- Cite check briefs and prepare supporting exhibits.
- Assist with document collection, review, and production.
- Provide support for hearing and deposition preparation, as well as mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Communicate with witnesses and experts and assist with scheduling and coordinating with the docketing team.
- Record and enter billable time and coordinate major projects or cases involving multiple paralegals.

Requirements:

- 10+ years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in a labor/employment litigation practice.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Results-oriented with superb time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications, Lexis-Nexis, Westlaw, and other document management systems.
