The Corporate Paralegal at Related Midwest will play a crucial role in supporting legal matters for the company's corporate real estate business. This position will be based in the Chicago office and will work closely with various divisions within Related, including Construction and Design, Development, Leasing, and Residential Sales and Rentals. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in corporate and real estate law, with a strong understanding of legal entity formation, litigation management, and document drafting. Responsibilities: - Form and maintain legal entities to ensure compliance with corporate governance standards - Manage and track various litigation matters, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation, deadlines, and case-related information - Administer legal file management, processing both new and existing files for effective documentation and organization - Conduct thorough title and survey reviews for real estate transactions, identifying any potential issues or discrepancies - Oversee time record administration and invoicing procedures to support accurate financial tracking - Collaborate with in-house and third-party attorneys, facilitating seamless communication and coordination - Draft and create various legal documents, including agreements, memoranda, corporate resolutions, and closing certificates - Review due diligence documents and provide comprehensive support for legal proceedings - Order and review lien and judgment searches to assess potential risks and liabilities Qualifications: - 8+ years of relevant corporate and real estate legal experience - Experience working in a corporate environment - Superior interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization and adapt to different audiences - Strong organizational skills and a strong sense of integrity and ethics - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Undergraduate degree required - Registered Paralegal (RP) certification preferred COVID-19 Vaccination Policy: Please note that Related has adopted a COVID-19 vaccination policy to safeguard the health and well-being of our employees.
