looking for a Legal Assistant who can assist attorneys with all aspects of estate administration and planning.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Marshalling, organizing and analyzing asset information

• Valuation of assets 

• Preparation of inventories

• Prepare asset transfer documents such as deeds and assignments.

• Drafting probate pleadings, including fiduciary reports/accountings

• Assisting with Estate and Gift Tax return and Fiduciary return preparation. 


Essential Capabilities:

• Excellent writing and research skills

• Attention to detail, organization and ability to work with minimal supervision

• Excellent communication skills. The team member will communicate with clients, family members, trustees, tax auditors, and other attorneys, and professionals. 

• Candidate will maintain client files and prepare materials for client meetings and assist with other documents or paperwork. 

• Must be self-motivated and must be able to manage their time well, work proactively, and be aware of any issues that need to be brought to the attorney's attention.

• Should be proficient with MS Word, Excel, Office, and Outlook.

Education: Paralegal Certification from an ABA approved program is preferable, but not required.  Experience: A BA/BS with 1-4 years of related experience is preferable, but not required.
