Associate Attorney
Candidate will be responsible for the preparation of telecom ordinances and land use agreements for adoption by the local governments; and for negotiating, drafting, interpreting commercial leases and amendments, and interpreting communications development and construction plans. Will include: Drafting and negotiating contracts, including letters of intent, complex commercial leases, amendments, licenses, easements and other legal documents. Examine and interpret construction plans, photo simulations, property legal descriptions, survey maps, title insurance reports and other collateral materials commonly used in the development process. Draft and revise municipal ordinances related to telecommunications. Advise clients on applicable State and Federal regulations and strategic business/legal matters. Investigate compliance with lease provisions, including on-site inspections and forensic accounting reviews.

Qualification and Experience Qualifications: JD Degree and active member in good standing with the California State Bar. 2-4 years’ experience in real property transactions, municipal law and/or administrative law. Experience in negotiating, drafting and interpreting commercial agreements. Ability to read and interpret conceptual development and construction plans. Experience with California contracts, land use, zoning and planning issues. Strong analytical, negotiation and drafting skills. Ability to work independently and make decisions supported with reasoned judgment. Self-directed learner. Experience in a client-facing position (whether in a legal capacity or otherwise). Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong critical thinking and analysis skills. The ability to analyze case law, public law, and regulations and apply it to current matters. Effectively handles concurrent assignments and multiple deadlines. Results oriented with a high level of organization and ability to prioritize effectively. Passionately and ethically committed to personal and professional development. Ability to independently handle a real estate transaction from start to finish.
