O’Melveny’s Law Firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intellectual Property Litigation Associate to join our Intellectual Property & Technology practice group in Washington DC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patent litigation and hold an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, materials science, physics, or an equivalent degree. An advanced degree or industry experience is a plus. Membership in the Patent Bar is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:
• Handle all aspects of patent litigation, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, participating in trials, and arguing motions
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions and memoranda on patent law and related issues
• Collaborate with other attorneys and staff on complex patent litigation matters
• Keep up-to-date on developments in patent law and industry trends

Qualifications:
• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the bar in Washington DC
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in patent litigation
• Strong academic credentials and excellent writing skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
