In this role, you will be responsible for providing legal support services for multiple Medicaid states, enterprise-wide functions, and complex litigation. Your expertise and knowledge will be utilized to handle highly complex legal assignments and projects, making a significant impact on the company. Responsibilities As a Legal Specialist Sr., you will: Lead support staff and provide legal support services. Prepare and evaluate legal documentation to resolve problems, close transactions, and maintain good corporate governance. Conduct legal research and analysis and recommend appropriate courses of action. Perform fact-checking, gather documents, respond to subpoenas and records requests, and coordinate investigative and discovery activities. Serve as a lead in the investigation and resolution of complex cases. Monitor state and federal legislation and make recommendations for changes in regulations and laws. Attend and represent the company at legal proceedings, arbitration hearings, and subsidiary company's board meetings. Apply business knowledge and technical expertise to optimize solutions and improve practices. Participate in projects and negotiations with business and staff. Enter information into appropriate databases or document management systems. Handle Provider Contracting for Medicaid markets. Requirements To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements: Paralegal Certification or an AA/AS/BA/BS in a related field. Minimum of 10 years of legal or related experience. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Experience in Medicaid or other government programs. Skilled in the use of Excel is preferred. Salary and Benefits The salary range for this position is to (hourly).
