- Conduct due diligence research and utilize conflicts database to screen potential and existing clients
- Protect law firm from malpractice claims, motions to disqualify, and other risks
- Assist with compliance of Rules of Professional Conduct and "know your client" obligations
- Prepare comprehensive due diligence research using electronic resources
- Report potential risk issues and advise appropriate parties
- Search and prepare conflict reports using conflicts software
- Evaluate and make decisions on conflict search results
- Perform corporate tree research and analysis
- Process rejected matters and file related documentation
- Inactivate matters and add former client/adverse hits for new hires
- Respond to department emails and handle special projects as assigned

H2: Job Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate required
- 4 years of law firm or research experience
- Prior experience as a Conflicts Researcher or legal experience preferred
- High proficiency in personal computers, database software, Windows, and Word
- Ability to follow instructions, think independently, and seek advice when necessary
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Organizational and planning skills
- Analytical and skilled at database searching
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects
- Willingness to work flexible hours when necessary

H2: Physical Requirements and Work Environment

- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Lift, carry, and move weights up to 10 pounds
- Use of repetitive wrist/hand/finger movement for computer work
- Ability to speak clearly and understand others
- Professional office atmosphere with occasional off-hour meetings and events
- Occasional travel may be required
