Are you a skilled Trademark Paralegal looking for a new opportunity? Dentons US LLP is currently recruiting for a full-time Trademark Paralegal to join our dynamic team. This position will be based in one of our offices in Chicago, St. Louis, Washington, . or New York. Responsibilities

As a Trademark Paralegal at Dentons, you will play a crucial role in supporting our local IP&T Practitioners and national IP&T Practice Group. Under the direction of assigned practice group lawyers and/or paraprofessionals, you will be responsible for preparing and filing . trademark prosecution and maintenance documents electronically with the USPTO. Your daily tasks will also include conducting trademark screenings, corresponding with clients, and assisting attorneys with TTAB filings. You will also have the opportunity to work on international trademark matters, including preparing and filing documents with WIPO and corresponding with foreign counsel. Additionally, you will have the chance to conduct due diligence on trademark portfolios, assist with trademark enforcement matters, and monitor attorney dockets.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have at least a Bachelor's Degree and 4 to 10 years of experience working in a trademark department, with at least 4 years of trademark prosecution related duties. Experience with copyrights is a plus. You must also have exceptional writing, editing, research, organizational, and analytical skills, as well as strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. The ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently is crucial, as well as a strong work ethic and willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed. You must also have a professional demeanor, attention to detail, and great organizational skills. The ability to provide direction and training to junior team members is also required. Additionally, you must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, PDF creation tool(s), document management software, Elite or other timekeeping software, and have excellent client service skills. The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is also necessary for this role.

Salary Information

The salary range for this position in New York is $100,000 to $110,000, based on experience. trademark prosecution and maintenance documents electronically with the uspto including but not limited to: applications, office action responses, extensions of time, statements of use, affidavits, renewals, assignments and powers of attorneys
conduct trademark screening searches using third search party platforms and common law searches
correspond with clients regarding routine phases of trademark prosecution and maintenance matters
assist attorneys in ttab filings, i. customs and border patrol
prepare cost estimates for new filings
prepare and file copyright applications for registration
assist with trademark enforcement matters including working with and corresponding foreign counsel regarding potential oppositions, cancellations and cease & desist letters
assist with monitoring attorney dockets and working with internal personnel to manage deadlines
record billable hours timely and accurately utilizing practice/firm billing protocols
