Job Overview:
A well-established civil litigation defense law firm is seeking Attorneys with experience in Workers' Compensation (WC) and Liability Insurance Defense to join its Maryland offices. These positions are hands-on with a focus on billable hours and substantial litigation responsibilities. Competitive salary based on experience.

Location:

• Baltimore, MD

Duties:

• Manage and litigate Workers' Compensation and Liability Insurance Defense cases.
• Handle billable hour requirements while maintaining high standards of legal work.
• Communicate frequently with clients, opposing counsel, and management.
• Draft and review legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and discovery responses.
• Represent clients in hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Develop and implement case strategies and provide legal advice to clients.
• Foster client relationships and provide effective communication throughout case progression.
• Ensure compliance with legal deadlines and court procedures.

Requirements:

• Admission to the Maryland Bar is required (. Bar is a plus).
• 1-3 years of experience in Workers' Compensation or Liability Insurance Defense preferred.
• Experience managing billable hours.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and management.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Maryland (. Bar is a plus).

Skills:

• Experience in Workers' Compensation and Liability Insurance Defense.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong litigation and trial preparation experience.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
