Are you a highly skilled and experienced Patent Specialist looking for a new opportunity? Look no further! A leading law firm is seeking a Foreign Filing Patent Specialist to join their team and manage international patent filings, foreign patent prosecution, and annuity management.

Position Overview
As a Foreign Filing Patent Specialist, you will provide crucial support to attorneys and patent agents by coordinating and managing international patent filings. You will be responsible for managing foreign patent portfolios, including applications, formalities, foreign invoices, payments, and dockets. This role requires strong knowledge of foreign patent application processes, PCT and foreign patent rules and procedures, and proficiency in working with computerized docketing systems.

Key Responsibilities
• Monitor, maintain and clear international and foreign filing dockets
• Prepare documents related to international and foreign patent applications
• Draft written communications for international associates and clients
• Prepare and file international (PCT) patent applications
• Manage international patent portfolios, including formality requirements
• File PCT applications and handle related formalities, with WIPO
• Coordinate the receipt and review of third party foreign associate invoices
• Oversee and coordinate annuity fee monitoring and payments for foreign portfolios
• Manage legalization of required documents as required by foreign jurisdictions
• Track and record time to the appropriate client and assure that services provided are appropriately charged
• Perform other duties as assigned

Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have:
• Bachelor's degree (a plus)
• Paralegal certificate or significant patent paralegal experience
• Minimum of 7 years of experience managing foreign patent portfolios, including applications, invoices, payments, and annuities
• Strong knowledge of foreign patent application process, PCT and foreign patent rules and procedures
• Proficiency in working with computerized docketing systems
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle client information professionally
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent computer skills and experience with docketing systems
• Willingness to work overtime when necessary

Education/Experience/Certifications
• Bachelor's degree (a plus)
• Paralegal certificate or significant patent paralegal experience
• Minimum of 7 years of experience managing foreign patent portfolios, including applications, invoices, payments, and annuities
