Work closely with clients to provide day-to-day advice on employment law matters, including terminations, leaves of absence, reductions in force, policy review and creation, and employment mobility issues. Advise clients on employment-related matters in mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions. Assist with internal investigations and provide guidance on best practices for responding to employment-related complaints. Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents. Participate in all aspects of discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery, taking and defending depositions, and preparing witnesses for depositions and trial. Attend court hearings, settlement conferences, and trials. Collaborate with and manage support staff, including paralegals and legal assistants. Actively participate in business development and marketing efforts, including attending industry events, speaking engagements, and writing articles and blog posts. Stay up-to-date on developments in employment law and provide trainings to clients and colleagues as needed. Qualifications: 2+ years of experience exclusively in management-side employment law litigation and counseling. Must be a member of the New York Bar and able to work in our New York office. Excellent academic credentials. Strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment. Willingness to take on a variety of tasks and projects. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong research and analytical skills.
