Pre-Litigation Personal Injury Attorney

Price Benowitz, LLP is currently seeking a Maryland barred Pre-Litigation Personal Injury Attorney to join our team at our Washington, DC headquarters. Candidates will play a crucial role in the efficient progression of personal injury cases. This is an in-office position, and candidates must be within reasonable commuting distance of our Washington, DC office.

Qualifications and Skills

• 3+ years of Personal Injury Pre-Litigation experience.
• Trial Experience required.
• Must be knowledgeable and experienced with the plaintiff side of Personal Injury and familiar with the rules and processes of the jurisdictions the firm covers.
• Must be proficient with handling high volumes of cases.
• Experience with depositions and trials preferred.
• Possess a demonstrated history of excellence in their career, as well as a passion for serving clients.
• Must have excellent attention to detail, stellar organization skills and the ability to not only communicate well but to fully grasp real-life implications that these cases have on our clients.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain work quality under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective collaboration and teamwork skills.
• Strong research abilities and excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Foreign language skills are a plus but not required.
• Active membership and good standing with the MD Bar (Dual membership with DC preferred).

Duties

• Client communications that are courteous and with timely updates.
• Supervision of case files and paralegals to ensure timely case progression.
• Drafting and/or reviewing demand letters for settlement.
• Effective negotiating for settlement.
• Evaluating and valuing cases for potential settlement or litigation.
• Identifying litigation cases from the Pre-Litigation docket in partnership with Litigation.
• Drafting Complaints for cases transitioning to Litigation.
• Reviewing and approving legal content for marketing platforms.
• Managing a high-volume case load.
