Summary: Law Firm, Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP, is looking for a Legal Practice Assistant with experience in IP/Patent Prosecution for their Los Angeles, CA office. This is a Non-Exempt position with a salary range of $55,532 - $92,266. The ideal candidate should have at least two years of experience in handling a patent docket and a strong knowledge of USPTO rules and requirements. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, along with excellent communication and organizational skills, and proficiency in MS Word, Windows, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. Responsibilities: - Prepare and file non-provisional and provisional applications, divisionals, continuations, responses to office actions, and submission of associated transmittals through electronic filing system. - Manage formal papers, coordinate foreign filings, gather prior art, and prepare Information Disclosure Statements. - Review daily docket report and communicate with assigned attorneys and agents. - Calendar USPTO due dates, client deadlines, and necessary appointments. - Coordinate meetings and activities with clients through various docketing portals and systems. - Interact with billing department for out of cycle invoices. - Review client prebills and notate any filed matters with Patent Office. Requirements: - Minimum of two years experience with patent prosecution docket in a professional environment. - Strong knowledge of USPTO rules and requirements. - Self-starter with problem solving abilities, excellent communication and organizational skills, and attention to detail. - Excellent knowledge of English grammar, proofreading, and composition skills. - Proficiency in MS Word, Windows, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. - Law firm experience preferred, knowledge of international procedures and requirements a plus. - .
