Cooley, a prestigious law firm, is currently seeking a Conflicts Analyst to join their Business Intake and Conflicts Team. This position is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and resolving conflicts requests, and requires a strong understanding of legal ethics and corporate law practice.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of applicable experience in a legal environment or conflicts department. They must also possess strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The expected hourly pay range for this position is - , with the final offer amount dependent on location and experience. In addition, Cooley offers a full range of elective benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and parental support benefits, as well as 20 days of Paid Time Off and 10 paid holidays each year.

Responsibilities of the Conflicts Analyst role include:

- Analyzing and processing conflict requests to ensure business and ethical clearance
- Conducting corporate research to identify related parties and address potential conflicts
- Interacting with partners to investigate and discuss potential issues and propose solutions
- Maintaining conflicts resolution notes and responses for each request
- Drafting conflict waivers and engagement letters when necessary
- Providing conflicts training for staff members
- Staying updated on current legal trends and information
- Conducting conflicts case law and legal ethics research
- Implementing ethical screens as needed

Requirements for the Conflicts Analyst role include:

- Availability to work overtime, including weekends if necessary
- Proficiency in IntApp Open and Contract Express or similar programs
- Knowledge of legal ethics and corporate law practice
- 2+ years of applicable experience in a legal environment or conflicts department
- Bachelor's degree or JD strongly preferred
- Paralegal certificate or completion of an ethics course in a paralegal program preferred
- Prior experience as a paralegal or legal researcher in a law firm
