Law Firm is looking for an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to join their team. This position will provide support for cases from presuit through trial. Responsibilities include daily interaction with existing and potential clients, ordering medical records, obtaining documents to support injury and/or liability positions, negotiating case settlements with insurance carriers, maintaining organized case files, preparing legal documents, e-filing court documents, conducting legal research, preparing discovery documents, drafting pleadings, motions and appellate documents, performing administrative duties, managing logistics, aiding attorneys with interrogatories, gathering relevant information, liaising between trial teams and third parties, and witness preparation. This position requires an associate degree, certificate or equivalent work experience, 2+ years of presuit or litigation experience, completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program, and experience in personal injury, WC, premises, or other injury related practice areas. Law Firm is looking for an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to join their team. This position provides support for cases from presuit through trial and requires an associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience, 2+ years of presuit or litigation experience, completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program, and experience in personal injury, WC, premises, or other injury related practice areas.

Job Responsibilities

• Daily interaction with existing and potential clients, via telephone and in person.
• Order medical records from providers and communicate with clients and providers during the course of treatment.
• Obtain documents necessary to support injury and/or liability positions
• Interact with insurance carriers and healthcare providers to secure records and account balances
• Negotiate case settlements with insurance carriers and negotiate a deduction of outstanding medical balances with providers
• Work directly with multiple coworkers involved in the management and support of case files
• Maintain organized case files.
• Prepare comprehensive demands and assemble support for submission to carriers
• Interact with attorneys and present case synopsis when required
• Manage case files from intake to closing under the direction of an attorney
• Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, legal memoranda
• E-file all court documents in state and federal court
• Communications with clients, court, counsel, and others.
• Conduct legal research and factual investigation
• Prepare discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses
• Draft and server summons
• Coordinate and summarize depositions
• Prepare trial binders and exhibits
• Drafting pleadings, motions and appellate documents and filing them with the court
• Performing administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics)
• Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes
