The law firm of Freeman Mathis & Gary is seeking an experienced Labor and Employment Associate Attorney to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. This is a great opportunity for someone with at least 2 years of experience handling employment matters on behalf of employers, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour claims. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with our nationally recognized Labor and Employment Practice Group and represent clients in employment disputes in more than 45 states. Responsibilities:
• Conduct initial analysis and develop case strategy for employment matters
• Prepare and respond to discovery requests
• Take and defend depositions, draft motions, and attend hearings
• Build relationships with clients and effectively communicate with them in an advice and counseling role
• Represent employers before the EEOC and federal and state courts in a variety of employment matters

Requirements:
• Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school
• Active membership in good standing with the Georgia Bar
• Strong critical thinking skills and a solid academic background
• Ability to meet deadlines, solve problems, and achieve goals under pressure
• Knowledgeable, attentive, and proactive in handling employment matters
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a track record of meeting billable hours goals
• Detail-oriented, organized, and effective in managing workload
• Professional and able to build relationships with clients and colleagues
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook; experience with iManage and/or OneDrive preferred
