# Job Opportunity: Legal Assistant (Litigation)
## Warner Norcross + Judd LLP
Warner Norcross + Judd LLP has an immediate opening for a Litigation Legal Assistant in our Grand Rapids office. This position provides secretarial and administrative support to attorneys and paralegals, aiming to enhance the ability of the firm to deliver exceptional client service in a cost effective, timely and professional manner. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent proofreading and writing skills, the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

## Responsibilities
* Prepare and proofread correspondence, memos, pleadings, briefs, forms and other documents in proper legal form, ranging from simple to very complex while fully utilizing firm technology
* Proofread all documents to ensure accuracy, consistency and professional appearance
* Transcribe documents from dictation when needed
* Maintain electronic and hard copy open files according to firm standards
* Ability and experience with e-filing and electronic document management system (iManage)
* Perform other administrative duties such as docketing, calendar maintenance, travel, business expense reimbursement, conference room reservations, opening and filing mail

## Qualifications
* Legal secretary/legal studies degree preferred (equivalent experience considered)
* Experience in the probate practice area a plus
* Excellent use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Minimum typing speed of 65 WPM
* Excellent grammar and writing skills
* Ability to handle privileged and confidential information with discretion
