The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of plaintiff personal injury litigation experience, including actual courtroom trial experience. This is a full-time position that requires a professional, organized self-starter with a proactive work ethic and strong decision-making skills. Essential Job Functions: - Thorough knowledge of a plaintiff personal injury litigation practice, including understanding and knowledge of court practices, requirements, and deadlines in both state and federal courts. - Ability to take a new case from file to trial. - Prepare legal documents such as petitions, answers, discovery, motions, pre-trial motions, legal memorandums, waivers, memos, case briefs, request medical records, Rule 11 agreements, settlements, and client correspondence. - Compile deposition and trial notebooks, client interviews, pleadings, motions, pre-trial motions, depositions, investigations, mediation settlements, and familiarity with all discovery phases. - Prepare LOPs, communicate with medical providers and lienholders. - Proofread and correctly format all materials. - Provide assistance to other Paralegals within assigned teams whenever necessary to meet Firm and client needs. - Organize and prioritize workload to efficiently facilitate team effort to accomplish Firm and client goals. - Maintain confidentiality of client, firm, and personnel information. - Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively as a team. Qualifications: - Minimum 5 years of plaintiff personal injury litigation experience. - Actual courtroom trial experience. - Based in Dallas, Texas. - Willing and available for overtime hours, evenings, weekends, and travel, as needed.
