DLA Piper is looking for an experienced Associate to join its Franchise & Distribution practice. This is an excellent opportunity to work in the top Franchise & Distribution practice (as ranked by Chambers USA) on a broad range of matters for clients in a wide variety of industries.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have:

3+ years of Franchise and litigation experience (preferably gained while practicing at an AmLaw 100 firm)
A strong academic background from a well-recognized and respected law school
Superior research and writing skills
Case management experience
The ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team

What the team is known for:

Leading firm offering a very deep bench of experienced attorneys capable of handling the full gamut of complex franchising litigation and transactional matters.
Representing a wide variety of clients ranging from private equity firms to start-up franchisors to some of the largest franchisors in the USA.
Having a strong international presence complementing work with foreign companies franchising into the US.
Offering unmatched expertise in termination-related disputes and litigation involving allegations of violations of state disclosure and relationship laws.

Requirements


Minimum 3 years of franchise litigation experience in a law firm environment
State Bar admission in the state you would be practicing or eligible for admission via waiver

Salary & Benefits

The pay range for the position, if hired to work in California or Washington is $260,000-$365,000 per year. The compensation offered to a candidate selected for employment will be dependent upon various factors, including the candidate’s geographic market, skills, educational and professional background, experience and overall qualifications.
