Venable LLP is currently seeking a Patent Agent with a background in aerospace engineering and engine technology to join their Patent Prosecution and Counseling group. This position will be based in one of their offices in Washington, ., New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, or San Francisco. The ideal candidate should be a registered patent agent with examining experience at the . Patent and Trademark Office or patent drafting experience in a law firm setting. A strong preference will be given to candidates with previous experience as a patent examiner and industry experience is a plus.

The primary responsibility of the Patent Agent will be to work exclusively on patent prosecution matters, utilizing their deep technical knowledge in aerospace engineering and engine technology. The candidate must hold undergraduate and/or graduate degrees in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science. They must also have excellent academic credentials, strong writing skills, and sharp analytical ability.
