Global Employment and Labor Law Associate

Experience Information

- 1-3 years of employment counseling and/or general employment litigation experience
- Background in international employment law
- Strong academic credentials from a top law school
- Excellent communication, analytical, and writing skills
- Previous experience in an employment practice at a top tier law firm is preferred
- Ability to work in a global team environment with culturally diverse team members

Responsibilities

- Providing advice and counsel to multinational clients on US and cross-border employment issues, including transactions
- Assisting multinational companies with international and domestic labor and employment issues
- Translating the international landscape for in-house counsel and managers with global responsibilities
- Leading cross-border and multi-disciplinary employment projects
- Supporting clients' global operations with commercially practical solutions
- Defending clients in employment litigation in state and federal court

Requirements

- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in the United States
- Familiarity with US and international employment laws and regulations
- Experience in employment counseling and/or litigation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion

Duties

- Conducting legal research on US and international employment laws and regulations
- Drafting legal documents, such as memoranda, briefs, and contracts
- Participating in client meetings and conference calls
- Collaborating with colleagues in other offices and departments
- Attending training and professional development programs
- Assisting with business development and marketing initiatives
